Who Should Attend?

The Arizona Healthcare Leadership Academy is designed for healthcare professionals at two levels of their careers:

Tier I

Tier I is designed for:

  • Front-line nurses, including team leaders and charge nurses
  • Healthcare managers and supervisors
  • Employees who aspire to healthcare leadership positions
  • Individuals who have been recognized for their leadership potential

Participants in the Academy are sponsored by their organization as a reward for past achievement and recognition of their future leadership potential.

Tier II

Tier II is designed for graduates of Tier I. While we recommend that all managers go through Tier I, we recognize that a few, because of experience, will want to waive Tier I. Waiving requires a recommendation from a senior leader, using the guidelines provided, for the manager to register for Tier II.

View the Tier II checklist for guidance on recommending an attendee. A recommendation by email is acceptable and should be sent to Betty Falter at bfalter@eller.arizona.edu.
